Sheizana Murji

About
She is a former legal executive and leader of teams of lawyers, along with government affairs and compliance professionals. Sheizana started her career over 15 years ago in large, national law firms (working in Toronto, Bahrain and Calgary) before moving in-house to roles spanning large energy companies, a multi-campus, cross-border university, and a pension fund.
Her background in business law involves significant experience negotiating transactions, resolving disputes, and navigating challenging conversations. She is an internationally accredited mediator and certified trainer of mediators, teaching not only mediation frameworks and methodology, but also crucial skills such as active listening, managing power imbalances and breaking through impasses. She is an instructor of business law, governance and ethics for undergraduate business students.
She is an active volunteer, and, according to her niece, she is the best aunt ever.
